Marinette Karnowsky, who is nineteen, says that life is just another typical bed of thorns and needles. She overcame abuse and abandonment but persisted in trying to finish her college degree on her own. When her beloved older stepsister returned and took her to her lovely home in a mysterious town she had never heard of, everything came to an end. Marinette is shocked to learn that her beloved sister is not really human and that the town is not somewhere a sensible person would want to go. While she’s still processing the new information, she meets her sister’s handsome best friend, a man she can’t help but be attracted to, even though she knows her sister might have feelings for him.
Marinette realised that she would have to face her peculiar attraction to the happy golden boy—a bond that was greater than she could have ever dreamed.
