In life, one has to choose a path to follow. As a naive person, I chose to enter the glamorous world of Nursing. As a new Registered Nurse, I was prepared and eager to save the world, succor the sick, nurture the needy, and make a positive impact on all those with whom I rendered care. My idealistic enthusiasm was soon replaced with cynicism.The story starts with my training and progresses through my initial orientation into the realities of professional nursing. Throughout the story, I have picked the most colorful patients and influences along my path. A depiction, fictionalized, but based on fact and truth, for the sake of confidentially was portrayed though my eyes. The public view of nursing is one of a caring profession, and hospitals are viewed as places where sick people in need of services go to in order to get well. In reality, the hospital experiences are a mystery. the experiences are not always pleasant, and the outcomes are negative in many instances.So follow me and my nursing influences through a shocking view of the world of nursing and hospitals. Set in the 1980’s, the book is bound to be an eye-opener to many, and controversial to others
